Yes. You can prep the fruit, slice the Swiss roll, and set out the spreads the night before. Store everything covered in the fridge. Cook the waffles fresh or reheat them just before assembling the board.

Do I need a heart-shaped waffle maker?

No. A regular waffle maker works fine. You can also cut waffles into heart shapes using a cookie cutter or serve them as they are.

Can I customize the board?

Absolutely. Swap in your favorite pastries, add pancakes or muffins, or change the spreads to suit dietary needs and personal preferences.

Can I make this board kid-friendly?

Yes. Add mini pancakes, sliced bananas, chocolate chips, or sprinkles so kids can customize their waffles and treats.

Can I make this board healthier?

Yes. You can use wholewheat waffles, reduce the sugar in the batter, and add more fresh fruit or yogurt to balance the sweeter items.
